Euro Cup 2022 Series retrospective and overall results

We summarized the previous season 2022 for you…👇👇👇

On Saturday, September 17, the “Aleksa Kojadinović” Memorial Rafting Competition and Euro Cup was held in Priboj on the Lim River, in the R4 category in all four disciplines (slalom, sprint, parallel sprint, downhill). Four teams took part: SRK Bosna Zenica from the town of the same name, Lim Lučice from Prijepolje, SU Soko Lim and RK Eko Lim from Priboj.

The traditional Czech Cup and European Cup in downriver race took place in the Czech Republic last weekend. Under the Lipno dam, rafters from 4 different countries (CZE, ITA, GER, JAP) have met, including several medalists from this year’s World Rafting Championship in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The course under Lipno dam is one of the most difficult and at the same time the most beautiful
courses in general. The youth and junior categories R4 and R6 as well as R4 women masters battled in its upper part, while the other categories tackled rapids up to class V through a „Devil’s Streams“ section, which is challenging even for experienced athletes.

On the weekend of 18 – 19 June the well known EC Trnavka 2022 was held in the Czech Republic on the artificial slalom course in Želiv. This course is not intended for beginners as it is Class 4, so a good challenging course for the top teams.

The event had a few titles – it was a separate Championship for the Czech Republic in slalom and sprint for Open, Masters and U23 categories; as well as being an event on the Euro Cup Series, as well as a part of the Czech Rafting Cup series

On May 21 and 22, Euro Cup Čunovo was the first race of the 2022 series. The event took place on the artificial canal in Čunovo near Bratislava. The race was part of the Slovakia National Championships, the Czech National Cup and the Euro Cup Series, so rafting teams from Slovakia, Czech Republic and Germany met together. National teams of all 3 countries took it as a good training possibility for the World Rafting Championship which was happening a week later in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The race itself was spread over two days, and each day took place on a different artificial channel. The water sports area in Čunovo offers such possibility, so Saturday took place on the right artificial channel and Sunday on the modernized left artificial channel. Both days there was a two-round Sprint and Slalom. This year, the race took place for the first time in Gumotex Colorado boats.

The IRF’s first Euro Cup 2022 series event was hold from 21 to 22 May, on the Cunovo artificial course, Divoka voda area Bratislava, Slovakia. It was R4, and the disciplines Sprint and Slalom. The difficulty level of whitewater is 3/4. This event was also the first round in the Slovak Rafting Championship.

Prepare yourself for next year!!!
